Laser Skin Resurfacing (Erbium)
Contour Tunable Resurfacing Laser (TRL) allows for customized treatment for ablative resurfacing. It can be customized for ablation depths of 4 to 10-micron NanoPeel™ with shorter downtime to 50-micron MicroLaserPeel or up to 330-micron full-field resurfacing on deep perioral and periorbital wrinkles for a more aggressive but safe technique for smoothing out facial creases. Contour TRL offers independent controls for ablation and coagulation levels allowing the physician to optimize results depending on the patient’s skin condition and needs.

A laser resurfacing kit will be included in your purchase of the treatment to optimize healing results. Specific post-operative instructions and healing time will depend on the depth of laser penetration but vinegar (1 teaspoon) diluted in 1 cup of DISTILLED water to clean the lasered skin, occlusive dressing with Hydrabalm® (Skin Ceuticals), Vaseline® or Aquaphor® to help the skin heal, and sunblock with zinc and titanium oxide to heal and prevent inflammation will be a part of your post-operative regimen.
The Contour TRL employs dual-mode erbium: YAG laser that incorporates advanced resurfacing laser technology. Erbium has a much higher absorption in the target chromophore water than CO2, which gives erbium the ability to vaporize tissue with very little thermal conduction. Targeted therapy with controlled settings allow for fewer side effects such as prolonged erythema and downtime. This treatment is better for ethnic skin.
