Orbital Tumors

Tumors can be classified as benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous), and can occur in the orbit, which is the bony eye socket. An oculofacial surgeon should address tumors as soon as possible as they can distort the surrounding tissue structures and affect the eye. A complete dilated eye exam, visual fields, and imaging may be required prior to performing a biopsy.
